The belief that changes everything
"The body will always adapt and heal, when given the chance. Give it that chance.
Dr. Michael Lenarz
Chiropractor. Author.
Visionary. Teacher.
37 years building a movement
that changed a profession.
A body that heals — always, given the chance
From a single practice in Washington State, Dr. Lenarz built a philosophy, a book, a consulting firm, a research institute, and a generation of healers — spreading Upper Cervical care across North America and beyond.
What if chronic pain, vertigo, migraines, and a hundred other conditions aren't failures of the body — but failures to remove the one thing standing in its way? In 1987, Dr. Lenarz graduated from Sherman College with the B.J. Palmer Philosophical Distinction Award and a conviction he has been proving ever since.
He built his practice around Upper Cervical Chiropractic — a precise, gentle correction of the atlas and axis vertebrae at the brainstem junction. Then he wrote the book. Then he trained the doctors. Then he built the retreat center. Each step not a pivot, but an expansion of the same original conviction: that the body will always adapt and heal, when given the chance.
"This is not a career. It is a calling fulfilled — one patient, one practitioner, one practice at a time."
The book that opened a profession to the world
When Bantam Books published The Chiropractic Way in 2003, it marked the first time in the profession's history that a major publishing house had brought chiropractic to a mainstream audience. Dr. Lenarz wrote it because he believed the philosophy behind Upper Cervical healing deserved a wider stage.
The book illuminates the principles of spinal health, explains how the nervous system governs healing, and gives patients — and practitioners — the framework to understand what becomes possible when the interference is removed. It has introduced tens of thousands of people to a healing path they would never have found otherwise.
When one man builds a model, a movement follows
Through mentorship, consulting, and The Chiropractic Way Consulting firm, Dr. Lenarz has launched over a dozen health care professionals into their own thriving practices — expanding the reach of Upper Cervical healing across North America and beyond.
When the clinic wasn't enough, he built this
When clinical mastery wasn't enough, Dr. Lenarz went further. He built Fox Creek Falls Retreat Center on 88 acres of pristine North Cascade forestland — because he understood that some healing only happens when a person is truly removed from the noise of ordinary life.
Private healing stays of 3, 5, or 7 days. Yoga, meditation, breathwork, and Holotropic experiences. Upper Cervical care, Craniosacral therapy, curated nutrition — and the wood-fired soaking tub under old-growth canopy. The forest, he says, does what no adjustment alone can do.
Taking Upper Cervical healing to the world stage
From local chiropractic events to national and international conferences, Dr. Lenarz has spent 37 years bringing the science, philosophy, and leadership lessons of Upper Cervical healing to audiences around the globe.
His talks are not lectures. They are invitations into a different way of seeing — the body, the profession, and what becomes possible when we stop managing symptoms and start removing the interference.
Who he speaks to — and transforms
Voices from patients and practitioners he's changed
Dr. Lenarz changed not only the way I practice — he changed the way I see my entire role as a healer. The patients I now serve every day trace back to his mentorship, his model, and his absolute certainty that the body knows how to heal itself.
Daily migraines for twelve years. Three neurologists. Surgery was being discussed. Dr. Lenarz found a C1 misalignment in the first appointment that no one had ever detected. I haven't had a single migraine in four months. My life is different now.
Every credential earned. Every honor deserved.
